Der Dezember brachte ein absolutes Highlight auf unseren Konzert Kalender, “OPUS” spielte im ausverkauften Grazer Opernhaus mit Orchester einen Benefizabend für die Organisation Menschen für Menschen. Ich wurde beauftragt die Tonmischung für das 30 köpfige Streichensemble unter der Leitung von Christian Kolonovits zu bewerkstelligen. Der Abend wurde von Rudi Dolezal gefilmt, im neuen Jahr wird eine DVD des Konzertes erscheinen.
Mit im von Opus zusammengestellten Team waren unter anderem Dietz Tinhof, verantwortich für die DVD Mischung im Opus Studio, und Christian Kardeis, der für die Streicher Arrangements verantwortlich war. Beide unterstützten mich bei meiner Arbeit zur Filmmusik zu Mount Saint Elias.
Die Stimmung in der Oper war überwältigend, Opus ist zurecht eine seit Jahren erfolgreiche Band, die mit ihren Songs und ihrer sympathischen Ausstrahlung ab dem ersten Takt begeistert! Auch Michael Vatter, Organisator und mit seiner Band “Support Act” für Opus überraschte mit tollen Songs und schönen Arrangements.

12/09 OPUS – A Night At The Opera
This Decembers’ highlight was a concert by world famous group “OPUS” who rocked the sold out opera house Graz together with a thirty piece orchestra. The charity event was held in favour of Karlheinz Böhm’s organization Menschen für Menschen. I had the honour to do the sound for the orchestra which was conducted by Christian Kolonovits. The evening was filmed by Rudi Dolezal, a DVD will be released in Q1 of the coming year, certainly a great document of a historic evening.
Part of the team were Dietz Tinhof,who will be in charge of the surround mix of the DVD and Christian Kardeis, who wrote the strings arrangements. Both supported me with my work for the Mount Saint Elias score.
The atmosphere at the opera was overwhelming, with their charming frontman and their catchy songs Opus set the house on fire from the first note.
Also Michael Vatter, organizer of the evening and support act surprised with great songs and arrangements.
